Hi Wes,

I bought a horn from you when I was still in grad school at SMU in 2007. Hard to believe it's been 3 years that I've had my horn already! I'm still playing (and loving) my horn.

By the way, in my travels playing with various orchestras and chamber groups every single person that has tried my horn (no matter what horn they play themselves, whether they're die-hard Conn players or Geyer-style players) has remarked, "you know, that feels and sounds better than MY horn! Want to trade?"...and I always tell them "no way!" In fact, I recently played a few gigs with the Minnesota Orchestra - a couple of them remarked how well the Hatch fit in with the section full of Lawsons! :-)

Thanks for making such a great horn - it's served me well in my orchestral, freelance, and brass quintet careers! Best to you in Wisconsin - I'll let you know if I or the quintet travels east to Milwaukee sometime...it would be great to meet you.

Cheers,

Tim Bradley

Breathlessly awaiting the next installment of the memoirs. Would enjoy discussing a few issues in my own repair work, given your intimate knowledge of Holton horns. I've recently scored several Reynolds Pottag models in various states of disrepair, but so far the results have been very good. One currently listed on hornplayer.net.

Hello Wes,

I would love to own one of your horns, have you ever made one in nickel silver? Would be pretty cool :-P

Wes,

I am very interested in purchasing one of your Geyer horns. Is there still a 6 month waiting period? I left a phone message a few minutes ago. 319 378 4072

What garantees are there, as to the concistency from one horn to the next, etc.

I am considering driving there today or tomorrow, but only if I know you'll be there. It is a 4 hour drive for me. I would bring my Conn 8D (Patterson conversion) and my Englebert Schmid Eb triple to compare, and then decide whether to order one from you or contemplate it a few days first.

I sent this email earlier today:

Wes,

Hope you remember me!

I still think about that horn, the one that is your daughter's. I was very impressed. However, playing in that noisy hall was a poor test.

When could I come up and play one of your horns again, and how long a wait is there to have a horn made? I would want it with a screw bell.

(Charles) Andy Harris says you did some work for him and he speaks highly of you.
